An accident on Highway 6 on Wednesday afternoon resulted in medical transport of three people while two more received medical attention on scene.
According to Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. John Kelley, the accident occurred at approximately 4:40 p.m. at mile post 260. The area is currently a construction zone and cars were stopped for a flagger. A driver was traveling eastbound when he did not stop in time, rear ending a vehicle, which in turn hit the vehicle in front of it.
One driver from Fruita, Colo. was transported to Castleview Hospital for facial injuries. The couple from Green River driving a Ford were also transported to Castleview for injuries sustained in the accident. The couple in the SUV received medical attention on scene and were not transported.
