Every year Castle Dale hosts a festival to celebrate fall and Halloween. Dinner, dessert, pumpkin carving, kid’s games, hay rides and costume contests are all part of the festival. This year however, organizers want to mix things up.
The festival has never had a theme before and the city council would like to see that change this year. Castle Dale City Council agreed that theme will be pumpkins, pumpkin pie, pumpkin rolls and pumpkin bread. The council also decided to forego dinner this year and start the event at 7 p.m. This will make it easier on volunteers who make the event possible each year.
Regularly scheduled activities will take place, but the festival will have a marked pumpkin twist. Organizers hope that all Castle Dale residents will come out and have a great time. The festival will be at the Castle Dale Recreation Center on the Oct. 24 at 7 p.m.
