Looking for their first 2A East victory of the season, the Emery Spartans hosted the San Juan Broncos on Tuesday afternoon. The Spartans mustered just two runs in the third and would score no more in the 8-2 loss.
Bryce Dugmore took the loss on the mound. The team had just three total hits in the game.
Emery (2-8, 0-2 2A East) has lost seven of its last eight games. Uintah (10-5, 0-4 Region 8), to whom the Spartans lost on March 8, 13-0, will be the Spartans’ next opponent on Thursday. The team will then travel to San Juan (9-4, 3-2 2A East) for another matchup with the Broncos on Friday.
