For over 20 years, Gary Meeks RICP® has provided professional financial consulting services to the residents of Carbon, Emery, Grand and San Juan counties.
While attending BYU for a degree in business finance, Meeks worked part-time as an assistant to a financial advisor. After falling in love with the job, the recent graduate sought a full-time job as a financial advisor, bringing him to Price in 1994 to work with Zions Investments.
“I’ve lived in the area ever since and I don’t plan on leaving,” Meeks said. “I love Price and I love this community.”
After 12 years with Zions Investments, Meeks began a new endeavor by opening his own business, Meeks Financial LLC, in Price. Since then, he has specialized in retirement income planning, insurance and investments products in partnership with Cetera Advisor Networks.
“My priority is to help people plan for the future,” Meeks explained.
Meeks offers free consultation to all potential clients. On an initial visit, Meeks gathers information and then develops a strategy for each client on an individual basis. Then, he presents the strategies to clients, explaining all processes and options for their individual goals.
“I really feel like it’s important to help my clients understand the investments and the insurance products,” Meeks said. “Client education is important so that they are comfortable.”
Meeks then offers periodic reviews to clients to keep them informed on their investments and answer any questions. Clients can also track their products on the Meeks Financial website.
In addition to Gary, Meeks Financial employs two sales assistants, Patricia and Robin Jensen. Meeks, a husband and father of five, lives in Price but does travel to meet some clients’ needs.
Meeks Financial is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday and is located at 90 West 100 North Suite 6 in Price. For more information, please call (435) 637-8160 or visit www.meeksfinancial.com.
