The Carbon Dinos Boys Tennis team had a home match against Richfield on April 7. At #1, singles Andrew Richens lost 0-6, 1-6. #2 singles, Isaiah Kobe lost 1-6, 4-6 and #3 singles, Wyatt Whitmer lost 0-6, 1-6. At #1 doubles, Jason and Jonas Nielsen lost 0-6, 3-6. #2 doubles Brayden Agla and Canden Stockdale lost 1-6, 6-7. The boys played well in their second sets and were very close to wins.
The team also competed recently at the Uintah Invitational. First was Carbon versus Grand High School on April 8. At #1 singles Andrew Richens lost 3-6, 3-6. #2 singles Isaiah Kobe lost 0-6, 1-6 and #3 singles Brayden Reiners came out triumphant 6-0, 2-6 and 10-6. At #1 doubles Jason and Jonas Nielsen lost 3-6, 3-6 and #2 doubles Brayden Agla and Canden Stockdale lost 1-6, 6-7.
Saturday, April 9 the boys faced off against Union High School. At #1 singles Andrew Richens lost 1-6, 1-6. #2 singles, Isaiah Kobe lost 1-6, 4-6 and #3 singles, Nathan Cowley lost 0-6, 0-6. At #1 doubles Wyatt Whitmer and Jason Nielsen lost 0-6, 3-6. #2 doubles Brayden Agla and Jonas Nielsen won by forfeit loss.
Also on Saturday, the Carbon Dinos competed against Uintah High School. At #1 singles Andrew Richens lost 0-6, 1-6. #2 singles, Isaiah Kobe lost 1-6, 4-6 and #3 singles, Canden Stockdale lost 1-6, 2-6. At #1 doubles Jason and Jonas Nielsen lost 0-6, 1-6. #2 doubles Brayden Reiners and Nathan Cowley lost 2-6, 0-6.
There was also a region match hosted on Wednesday, April 13 at Juab High School. At # 1 singles Andrew Richens came out triumphant with wins 6-3, 6-2. #2 singles, Isaiah Kobe also won with scores of 2-6, 6-4, 6-2. #3 singles, Brayden Reiners lost 0-6, 3-6. At #1 doubles Jason and Jonas Nielsen lost 0-6, 3-6 and #2 doubles Wyatt Whitmer and Nathan Cowley lost 3-6, 3-6.
