As the COVID-19 pandemic winds down, the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce (CCCC) proudly presented its Casino Night fundraiser on Friday evening. The annual event began in 2019, with a brief hiatus in 2020, before returning this year.
Hosted at the Carbon County Event Center, the fundraiser was open to all members of the community. Those in attendance were treated to card games, bingo, raffle prizes and much more. The evening ran past midnight as attendees enjoyed one of the first social events of the year.
“Casino Night was a huge success thanks to our sponsors, Mike Huff and Slickenstein, an amazing Chamber Board, and almost 200 people from the community,” said Barbie Haeck, CCCC Executive Director. “We are already looking forward to next year’s Casino Night. We appreciate the support!”
Each person that attended received chips to participate in the variety of games at the event. Additional chips could be purchased throughout the evening to continue the fun. At the end of the event, each person “cashed in” their chips in exchange for raffle tickets, which were then entered for a variety of prizes donated by local businesses. Funds raised from the event will support the chamber in its efforts to enhance the retail, commercial, industrial and civic interests in Carbon County.
High roller sponsors for the event included Castleview Hospital, Flawless Sheeting, FST Filtration, Savage, Attorney Robert Oliver and the Tony Basso Group of Companies. Table sponsors included Bookcliff Sales, Carbon Print & Design, Juniper Pizza Cafe, In & Out Inspections, Marietti Monuments, Loveless Ash, Southeast Paint & Design, Peczuh Printing and Wilco Supply. Other supporters of the event included Carbon County and a multitude of businesses that donated raffles prizes and purchased tickets for the event.
