The Lady Dinos came out strong against Payson on Wednesday on the soccer field. Despite the fast start, Carbon ultimately fell 3-1 against the Lions.
“We played really well,” coach Amber Smith commented. “We put in the first goal. I think we really surprised them.”
While the Dinos have had less than favorable games against Payson in the past, Smith believes that the fact that the team competed and kept up with the Lions was a win in itself.
“They have improved every game,” Smith concluded. “I can’t say anything bad about them.”
The Dinos will host another home match on Tuesday against Richfield. Play starts at 3:30 p.m.
