Down 19 points in the third quarter, the Carbon Dinos stormed back to tie the game at 52 in the final seconds against 4A Uintah Friday night. The Utes were able to sink two free throws in the final 11.2 seconds to seal the win.
Cole Fossat hit a couple of threes in the game and led the Dinos with 15 points. Mitch Olson scored in double figures for the second game in a row with 10 points. Kyle Quinton and Peyton Fausett pitched in nine and eight points, respectively.
With the loss, Carbon’s modest two-game winning streak was snapped.
Carbon (3-4, 0-0 Region 12) will travel to Tooele on Thursday.
