Dinos Excel at State FCCLA Competition

The 2023 Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) State Competition was recently hosted, with attendance and performance from a number of Carbon High School (CHS) Dinos.

In career investigation, Lizzy Blackburn secured second place, a silver recognition, which qualified her for nationals. Jennifer Gurule earned bronze in this category as well.

Denali Dart earned gold, third place, in chapter service while Joaquin Porras secured a place at nationals with a silver, second-place finish in entrepreneurship. In event management, Ella Anderson earned first place, gold, also qualifying for nationals.

The Dinos continued their rampage through the state competition with Gianna Valdez, who earned silver in teach and train. In promote and publicize FCCLA, Kaylynn Black qualified for nationals with her first-place, silver win.

Food innovations saw the most Dino tracks. The duo of Kenzie Morgan and Maggie Truman earned silver, third place, while Landrie and Lanie Anderson secured gold, first place, which qualified them for nationals.
