Looking to capture their first region win, the Carbon Dinos met a brick wall in the form of the Richfield Wildcats on Friday. Carbon was sent home with a 60-41 loss.
Carbon has lost three straight games and four of its last five, overall. The Dinos were outscored in every quarter in the game against Richfield.
Sophomore Kyle Quinton led Carbon with 12 points, which was a career-high. Peyton Fausett was the only other Dino in double figures with 10. Garrett Blanc chipped in eight points.
Richfield’s Brandon Willardson led all scorers in the game with 23 points. He also pulled down 10 rebounds for his fifth double-double on the season.
Carbon (7-9, 0-2 Region 12) will host Juab (9-5, 1-1 Region 12) Wednesday night in a game that will be broadcast live on ETV Channel 10 at 7 p.m.
