Fierce MMA comes back to their roots on July 13 for the Fierce Challenger Series 11. The card will be held at the Carbon County Events Center at the fairgrounds. It has been a full year since the last MMA event has taken place in Carbon County. The Fierce Fighting Championship (FFC) team is dedicated to creating a family-friendly environment that encourages self-defense, sportsmanship, fitness and nutrition, as well as taking on the fight against bullying across America.
The card will feature five amateur fights during the prelims, beginning at 5 p.m. This will be followed by four fights on the main card. Starting off the main card, two amateur middleweight fights will be featured including Varner vs. Eargle and Call vs. Henderson. The Co-Main Event is a title match for the bantamweight belt. Jackson Degrey will be defending his title against the Flyweight Champion, Nasir Davis. The fight was a last-minute change due to both fighters’ original bout being cancelled from injuries. If Davis can pull off the win, he will be the first FFC champion to hold two belts simultaneously. If Degrey wins, he will tie Mark Chaves for most amateur title defenses of all-time.
For the main event of the evening, it is a professional Middleweight bout between two tough athletes, Starling Simmons vs. Ben Robinson. Simmons is 5-1 with all of his wins coming from KO and TKO. The Dominican Republic native has had one loss in the professional level, due to an injury during his match. He will face off against Orem, Utah’s Ben Robinson, who is at 6-7 in the professional level. The 35-year-old has four wins via submission and two by KO/TKO.
The stage is set for a great night of mixed martial arts at the Carbon County Event Center. Tickets are available for tables and general admission. To pre-order your ticket, visit www.fiercefightingchampionship.com/fiercechallengerseriestickets.
