A large fire broke out on Monday night in Spring Glen at approximately 10 p.m. The flames damaged two trailers, a motorcycle, a motor home and two sheds, none of which were insured by the owner. Fire investigators speculate that the fire could have been caused by electrical problems.
Helper and Price City fire departments responded to the blaze. “We could see it out of Helper, as soon as we passed the hill, “ explained Helper Fire Chief Mike Zamantakis. “When we got there, it took us 10-15 minutes to get the fire under control.”
Although substantial property damaged occurred, no one was harmed by the fire. The property owner estimates that $10,000 worth of damage occurred between the property and items such as tools within the shed.
