On Friday, local junior high students had their solo and ensemble competition at Utah State University Eastern. There were students performing with instruments and others with their vocal talents.
Each performance, solo or ensemble, is judged on a one to three scale. This includes pluses and minuses with one being the best score one can receive. Those who are granted a one or one minus qualify to take part in the state solo and ensemble competition.
