McDonald’s was packed Tuesday night as residents came to show their support for Wellington Elementary. During a two hour time frame, 50% of all in-store sales were donated to the elementary school as part of the McTeacher’s Program.
Students, teachers and staff were on hand during the event to promote sales. By the end of the night, $880 was raised and will be used to fund projects, buy supplies and promote education at the school.
McDonald’s store owners John and Amber Hopkins sponsor several McTeacher Nights throughout the year.
