Wellington City Police Chief Rory Bradley recently released a statement regarding the new sign postings on Highway 6 in Wellington.

Last week, the speed limit was officially reduced from 60, to 50, to 40 miles per hour (MPH) entering and leaving the city of Wellington on the west side. On Thursday morning, Chief Bradley met with a Utah Department of Transportation engineer and the city will be obtaining an advanced warning light for the stop light that’s located at 100 East Main.

The light will warn drivers of the upcoming stop and will span over the highway. Chief Bradley shared that they are also getting closer to having another stop light, which will be located at the intersection of Ridge Road and Highway 6 east of town. He thanked the community for their patience and urged them, as always, to directly contact him with questions or concerns.

“I believe this will be beneficial for all of us and slow down traffic on both ends of town,” Chief Bradley said.
