Utah State University – College of Eastern Utah Physics Department members hosted the fifth Siege the Day competition Saturday on the USU Eastern campus.
Students built trebuchets that launched footballs toward goal posts approximately 100 feet away.
“It gives [students] hands on experience,” said physics teacher David Kardelis. “It’s complicated enough that they have to actually plan, but its not so complicated that they can’t do it.”
