In January, a semi truck veered off the highway, striking Los Jilbertos and demolishing the restaurant.
As a result of the devastating accident that left popular eatery Los Jilbertos in ruins, nearby students from Wellington Elementary wanted to do their part to assist.
This effort was exercised in the form of a movie night hosted at the school by the PTA. A representative of the Wellington Elementary stated that, through great community support, teachers’ contributions and profits from the actual event, a total of $558.92 will be donated to Los Jilbertos.
“Thank you to our PTA for hosting a successful movie night and for those who supported it tonight. We’re so happy to be able to support our friends at Los Jilbertos. We have an outstanding school community,” school staff shared.
